Printed communication - new challenges and opportunities
Under the above general title, the conference will accept for presentation and publication scientific or technical papers, presenting
original and previously unpublished research, related to all aspects of the theory, practice, development and effects of technology in
the media and graphic arts industries. For this conference, special attention will be given to:

Extending paper and print functionality

Smart packaging
-
Innovative processes, materials, substrates and products
-
Security and special printing
-
Quality in reproduction and printing
-
Managing the media production process
-
Publishing on multiple platforms
-
Ecofriendly printing
-
Consumer perception and market acceptance
-
Trends in media development
However, contributions are not limited only to the above areas and topics. All submissions related to the wider field of media and
graphic arts will be considered.
Call for Contributions and Submission of Extended Abstracts
Authors from iarigai member organizations, as well as from other research institutes, universities and industrial R & D are invited to
submit results of their research for presentation at the conference. Only quality papers, not previously published or presented, will be
considered. An extended abstract of 1200 to 1500 words (including 3-5 keywords) prepared in .doc or .rtf format, should be submitted
online not later than 14th of February 2011. The abstracts should be informative enough to allow for an evaluation of the scientific
and/or technical value of the paper. Therefore, they should include clear statements on:

The objectives of the research
-
Research methods,
-
A summary of results,
-
Conclusions, clearly indicating the novelty of the paper.
Only contributions prepared as .doc or .rtf documents and submitted through the Conference system will be accepted for evaluation.

follow the instructions. Submissions by e-mail will not be considered. More details can be found on www.iarigaiconference2011.hu.
All received extended abstracts will be anonymously reviewed by at least two independent experts and accepted or rejected by the
Conference Program Committee. All authors of submitted abstracts will be informed of the results of the selection not later than 20th
of April 2011. The authors of accepted papers will be requested to submit a full manuscript not later than 15th of July 2011. Authors
of the accepted contributions will be invited to give the presentation only if registered for the Conference until the above date. Papers
selected for presentation will be printed for conference participants in the form of extended abstracts. Furthermore, presentation
slides and short abstracts will be available on the iarigai web site. Complete works - if submitted on time, presented on the Conference,
and meeting general quality requirements for scientific publishing - will be included in Vol. XXXVIII of the series Advances in Printing
and Media Technology.
